Following on from Frazer-Nash’s UK Space Based Solar Power report published by the UK government in September 2021, Frazer-Nash Business Manager, Martin Soltau, will join the panel for the upcoming Space Based Solar Power for Net Zero discussion on 10 February 2022.
The event will be co-hosted by the Institution of Engineers, Australia and the UK's Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE). Led by ‘The Actionable Futurist’, Andrew Grill, Dr Alice Bunn, Chief Executive of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers, Martin Soltau of Frazer-Nash, Sam Adlen, Chief Strategy Officer at Satellite Applications Catapult, and Nick Wrayth, CEO of the Energy Institute will be in discussion about harvesting solar power from space.
As part of an ongoing collective agenda, engineers from Australia and the UK are seeking to work together on pertinent global initiatives, and this satellite/solar technology initiative offers another step towards achieving the Net Zero target.
The hybrid event will begin at 7pm, UK time, and will be streamed live across Australia.
